Any Regrets

You have worked this job for twenty years or more
Watching your family grow and disappear
until they were there no more.
Did you spend the time they needed
for mentoring, coaching and developing them
into this person they have become?

like the flow of a river
on a warm brisk spring night?
Was the money you made worth
the sacrifice of your life,
while you sit here lonely
without your loved ones in sight.

to work hard each day.
That playtime is a luxury and only after success breaks.
